We really had a bad experience at hotel. I was sick and laid down all day at hotel. When the house keeping came, I told them to come later. Nobody came after that. I asked to the receptionist for house keepers to take the garbage at least. She told me that they don't work after 6pm. I was about to put the tray in front of the door and a rat jump over me to the room. A really huge one. I looked at after it. It could not go under bed for a while. As that big. I screamed and did not think that I should keep the door close. I spoke to the receptionist, it wasn't a surprise for her btw. I found the owner, Chakib Abou Dargham, who is very rude and egoistic, told me that he could not find the rat and it might be my imagination. How rude it is. I cant beieve I paid a lot for this hotel. We were outside at night with my 9 months old baby without hotel reservation.

Had a fantastic stay for a business trip, would happily return. The location was stunning and wonderful, just next door to the beach, and including the very popular Barbar restaurants which are down a nearby side street. It also was right in the center on the trendy Hamra street.

It is a decent base for rest, has good views of the ocean. Brand-new, double superior room with a functional bathroom and soft towels and a bidet...

Straight facts, no fluff
Centrally located with a family-friendly vibe, the staff was accommodating, awesome for early check-in. The room featured a nice balcony and daily tea and coffee service. Breakfast was reasonably priced and diverse, with attentive service. A great spot for exploring local attractions like Pigeon Rocks and the American University.

The location of hotel is great, however, there are noises because of Hamra street. Staff are very polite and helpful. Brakfast is quite good for a 4star hotel. Linens are clean. It also has a very good and powerful hairdryer
There were no slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste. The water was a little rusty and they told it is because of changing the machine.

Everything exceeded my expectations at Hotel Cavalier. The beautiful room was spacious and worth the price. The location near Hamra street was a huge plus. I could easily walk to nearby restaurants and shops, and Zaytouna Bay wasn't far either. The staff were great. They offered helpful suggestions for local attractions and always greeted me with a smile. Having a balcony in my room added a nice touch. I did notice the lack of toiletries other than basic soap, a bit disappointing. Although the room was well-kept, an iron wasn't available initially, but the staff promptly brought one when requested. My next visit to Beirut will definitely include a stay here again.
